Company Ramshacklicious has just arrived at Atelier 231 !
This is the first day of their residency - from 8th to 30th April - during which they will work on their latest creation, Grime.
During their stay, an original outreach project will be led with two groups of patients from the Lucien Bonnafé psychiatric hospital in Saint-Etienne du Rouvray based around a theatre workshop and a video workshop.
As one group of patients will explore their imagination through performance, the other group will be working with a professional film director with the view to shoot the work of the company.
Elaborated in collaboration with the Pôle Image Haute-Normandie, these video workshops mean to bring the patients to complete a short film documenting the residency of Ramshacklicious at Atelier 231.
Ramshacklicious’ work will be presented at the end of their residency, on Tuesday 29th April 2014 (7pm, at Atelier 231).
Grime tells the story of a man fighting his disillusioned way to happiness through greed, manipulation and violence. He lives with his dysfunctional family in a make-shift, haphazard shack constructed on top of a burger van. Their complicated mesh of co-dependency, lies and deceit is all that holds them together. Grime follows the trials and tribulations of a family intent on survival in harsh times. Part absurd, part constructed reality Grime is a modern day soap opera that aims to push the boundaries of possibility.
