Atelier 231’s main aim is to provide artists residencies and commission new artistic work. It is an accredited training centre, with many artistic training programmes. Atelier 231 is in charge of the artistic direction of the Viva Cité Festival in Sotteville-lès-Rouen, and the Fish & Chips festival, a Franco-British festival created within ZEPA 2008-2012, as well as many outdoor arts events in Normandy.
