Le Fourneau is one of the ten National Centre for Street arts in France and as such, it is part of a national professional network involving cultural organisations, outdoor arts companies and festivals. It is an organisation that creates and produces artistic events in public open spaces. Le Fourneau work on three main strands : commissioning new shows, programming throughout the region and developing resources/research/ training.

Le Fourneau organise events such the Pique-Niques Kerhorres in Relecq-Kerhuon, Printemps des Arts de la Rue in the Abers region, Temps Bourg in Guipavas, Le Verger des Vieilles Charrues and Charrues dans la Rue in Carhaix, the Jeudis du port in Brest and the Rias du Pays de Quimperlé, outdoor arts festival in South Brittany.
